Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and Panama’s Ambassador Discuss Means to Strengthen Cultural and Trade Cooperation
AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder
and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), received in his
office Panama’s Ambassador to Jordan, HE Mr. José Ulises Lescure.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways
of enhancing bilateral relations between Jordan and Panama, mainly in the
fields of trade and cultural exchange, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the
development of economic ties between the two friendly countries.
For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed the
Ambassador, expressing TAG.GD’s full readiness to provide all necessary support
that would effectively contribute to strengthening the bonds of friendship and
cooperation between Jordan and the Republic of Panama.
He further highlighted his initiatives in
digital learning and the use of AI applications that aim at boosting development,
emphasizing his deep interest in collaborating with Panama to establish digital
educational institutions, and to launch the world’s first digital institution dedicated
to preparing and qualifying human capital to meet the requirements and needs of
the current digital era.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Lescure extended his appreciation for Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh
and his unwavering commitment and efforts in supporting economy, education, and
digital transformation, praising the TAG.GD’s significant role in supporting
development and encouraging interaction between institutions in both countries.

further expressed Panama’s interest in benefiting from TAG.GD’s expertise in
introducing digital education programs, and developing human capital in Panama.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed
the idea of establishing training centers or signing an academic partnership
between TAG.GD and Panama’s institutions.
He went on to point out the importance of
Panama as a global trade hub thanks to its strategic location and Panama Canal that
connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. He further highlighted the
long-standing ties of friendship between Panama and the Arab region, especially
Jordan.
Moreover, the two sides proposed enhancing cooperation
between Aqaba and Panama in the economic field, given their strategic locations
and shared roles as major trade centers. The “Panama-Aqaba Agreement” name was
suggested to this cooperation.
The meeting addressed other topics including large-scale
economic projects in Panama; despite its small geographic size, as well as the potential
of cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Translation (TAG-Translate), a member of
TAG.GD, recognized as one of the world’s most established and reputable
translation firms.
